Preparation and Purpose
- Research your mentor: Explore their background, LinkedIn profiles, expertise, and interests before scheduling calls. Ensure alignment with your goals and desired insights.
- Come prepared: Have a list of questions, topics for discussion, and a clear objective for each meeting. Maximize your mentor's valuable time.
Respect and Professionalism:
- Treat your mentor with respect and courtesy. Value their time and expertise.
- Maintain a professional demeanor: Dress appropriately for video calls and be mindful of communication etiquette.
- Avoid solicitation: This platform isn't intended for direct job or internship requests. Focus on career guidance and personal development.
Commitment and Communication:
- Communicate promptly: Inform your mentor about any reschedules, cancellations, or no-shows at least 24 hours in advance.
- Show active engagement: Come prepared to participate, ask questions, and contribute to the conversation.
- Be mindful of time: Respect meeting schedules and avoid running over your allotted time.
